In these hard times when all we hear is bad news, we could all use to see something nice. This is why we decided to present you the top 10 beaches in Croatia. Read about them and dream about the summer. When all this is over, come and visit them!

This is surely the most famous beach in Croatia. It is known after is unusual shape like a tongue and what is the best it changes every day due to winds and currents. Wind usually blows every day and that is great for all the kite surfers and windsurfers and there are plenty of them every day there.

In case you are not the active type of tourist Golden Cape will not disappoint you either because of the waves which are fun for everyone. Simply go into the sea and let the waves roll you around. Golden Cape is a pebble beach so nothing will happen to you. It is a lot of fun! Just be careful not to lose your bathing suit. :-)

After you get tired you can rest in the natural shade of the pine trees next to the beach. You can reach the beach on foot, or by a tourist train from the center of Bol. This is the most beautiful beach on the Makarska Riviera. It is a long, pebble beach which is just perfect for families with kids. Makarska Riviera, in general, is family-friendly because of the long beaches with shallow areas. What is the best about this beach is the white color of the pebbles and crystal, clear sea.

There is also plenty of entertainment on the beach meaning bars and restaurants. Parking can be found nearby in the pine trees forest. In the evening stroll with your family around this charming destination. Your kids will probably ask for the ice cream and you will surely enjoy the delicious authentic Mediterranean meals that can be found nowhere else. 3. Banje Beach in Dubrovnik

This beach is situated near the Lazareti which was the former quarantine at the entrance to the city of Dubrovnik. Therefore, if you come here you will be able to swim and sunbathe with a spectacular view of the Old Town of Dubrovnik on one side and the Lokrum island on the other.

The entrance to the beach is free of charge. On the other hand parking in Dubrovnik can be pricy. So our recommendation is to use the taxi service from your accommodation. At night the beach transforms to the Banje Beach nightclub where you can party till dawn. It often hosts international DJ-s.

This is a long beach with white sand. It is a wild beach so do not expect premium bars and restaurants there. But the beauty of the beach and the nature surrounding it make up for it. On the other hand, you can find several top seafood restaurants on the island where you can try seafood caught for you freshly from the sea. Yummy!

5. Bacvice beach in Split

Bacvice beach is a sandy beach with a long, shallow area. Therefore, it is suitable for kids as well. As far as sports are concerned many people play "picigin" there. At night beach Bacvice turns to the party zone with numerous nightclubs and restaurants.

It is a long, sandy beach with plenty of bars and restaurants. This beach is also ideal for families with children as it includes a lot of activities for children like slides and trampolines. Even toddlers will have a lot of fun building castles in the sand.

This is another beach with a view. On one side you see the Old town of Sibenik and on the other the islands of the Sibenik archipelago. It is a pebble beach with a children's playground next to it. There is not much natural shade on the beach. So, we recommend you to rent parasols from the beach bar. As far as the parking is concerned it can be found near the beach.

8. Beach Raduca in Primosten

This is a large beach situated in the very center of the town of Primosten. Beach Raduca is a pebble beach with lots of facilities and possibilities for sports.

After you get tired of beach activities we recommend you to go and visit some of the Primosten restaurants. Beach Raduca can be reached on foot from the center of the town, but there are also two large parking spaces located just a few hundred meters away from the beach.

9. Beach Omis

This is a long, sandy beach near the center of Omis. We are sure your kids will love the sand which is perfect for beach activities from building castles to the game of "picigin". On the other hand, you can relax in one of the beach bars looking at them play on the beach.

Omis is also known as a destination for an active vacation. So, besides spending your time on the beach you might try rafting on the Cetina river (its estuary is in Omis) or even zip-line over its canyon.

In the evening return to the Old town where you will have the opportunity to hear the traditional Dalmatian "klapa" singing. "Klapa" is a group of male or female singers who sing a cappella. You will surely see them if you visit Omis during the Festival in Omis. It usually takes place in June and July. This beach is a true hidden gem as it is situated on the island of Bisevo which is quite isolated. The island can be reached from Komiza on Vis island. The beach is made of sand and it includes a long shallow area and crystal clear sea. The sea is a bit cold but that is refreshing during the hot summer days.As we previously said the whole island is a bit isolated, but you can still find a couple of good restaurants near the beach.
