Where is Umag and how to get there?
Situated on the western coast of the Istrian peninsula, Umag is excellently connected regarding the traffic. The nearest airports are in Trieste (Italy), 52 kilometers, and in Pula, 82 kilometers. There are many bus lines from both towns towards Umag, especially during summer. An excellent network of highways and motorways, Istrian Y, will make your trip easy and quick if you choose to come to Umag by car. Also, there is a possibility of renting a car or a transfer from the airport. Most of our villas include private parking should you decide to book one of them for your vacation.

It is a family-owned business located near Umag for the past 30 years. It is focused on local Istrian cuisine with imaginative homemade dishes from fresh, seasonal ingredients. The menu includes delicacies like homemade prosciutto, cheese, ricotta, seafood like cuttlefish and shrimps, as well as boskarin meat and truffles. Tavern Buscina also offers great wines and olive oils.

The Croatia Open, also known as the Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag, is a men's tennis tournament that takes place in Umag. It is one of the oldest ATP tennis tournaments in Croatia and it takes place at the ITC Stella Maris.
Traditionally, the Croatia Open - Plava Laguna is held in mid-July every summer. We recommend a visit since it is not just a tournament but also a Party and gourmet event that includes concerts, shows, and events accompanied by excellent local food and drinks.
