The festival will bring together some of the best experts in gastronomy, catering, mixology, oil, and coffee.

Thus, you will have the opportunity to listen to the personal experiences of renowned Chefs from all over the World. Moreover, you will be able to learn from them at Masterclasses. Lectures will be held in gastronomy, mixology, wine, and coffee making.

Furthermore, the coffee weekend is planned where you will be able to taste new coffee aromas and flavors. In mixology classes, you will be able to taste unique cocktails and learn bartending tips and tricks.

Finally, the whole experience will be enhanced by music performances. Do we need to say more?

About the participants

Most of the names are already announced and they include chef Rasmus Munk, whose cuisine is interesting due to the fact that it includes art installations as well.

Sergey and Ivan Berezutskiy, and Ana Roš, will also participate and they are all chefs from restaurants with 2 Michelin stars.

Among others, the famous Italian chef Massimo Bottura from Osteria Francescana restaurant with 3*** Michelin stars will also be there.

Finally, Paul Ivic is an Austrian chef of Croatian roots that works at Tian restaurants in Vienna and Munich. Tian restaurants are one of few vegetarian restaurants in the World with a Michelin star. Paul Ivic is guided by the zero-waste philosophy and is passionate about educating people about healthy food.

In case you do not wish to stay in the center of the town, but prefer the quiet suburbs in the country, the 5-star villa Starry Night is perfect for you. This villa is situated on a large property not far from Rovinj and it is surrounded by greenery.

Villa includes not one, but 2 swimming pools. One of them is an indoor heated pool which will be perfect for your Spring visit when the sea is still too cold for swimming. There is also an outdoor pool that is equipped with hydro massage.

About Rovinj

Rovinj is known for its winding, rocky streets which make it the most romantic town in Croatia.

One of its symbols is the Baroque Church of St. Euphemia (you can see it in the photo above).

Another symbol is the Old tobacco factory which served as the facility for supplying officers of the Austro-Hungarian army with cigarettes. Finally, there is one more symbol of Rovinj that needs to be mentioned and that is the Rovinj Batana.  That is a boat that resembles a Venetian gondola. In case you are interested in Rovinj Batana, we recommend you to visit The Batana Eco-Museum in Rovinj.

There are plenty of activities you can enjoy while visiting Rovinj during the Weekend Food Festival.

Outdoors we recommend you to visit and spend time in the Golden Cape Forest Park.

Furthermore, there are numerous marked cycling routes around Rovinj which is another excellent way to explore the area. We wish to highlight one, the Strika - Ferata cycling route that is built on the old railway path and includes beautiful landscapes.

Regarding sightseeing, besides the already mentioned sites, the Church of St. Euphemia and The Batana Eco-Museum, May is the perfect time to walk the archeological sites Monkodonja and Musego if historic sites interest you.

There are also numerous events happening in Rovinj in May. One of them is On the paths of Rovinj Delicacies. This year it will take place right after the Weekend Food Festival which is interesting in case you plan to stay a bit longer in Rovinj.

There are also plenty of opportunities for day trips from Rovinj. Some of the most interesting ones are to visit the medieval towns in Central Istria such as Motovun, the Roman Amphitheatre in Pula, as well as the boat excursions to Lim Bay and Brijuni National Park.
